Tichelaar

From the beginning of his career, Simon has specialized in project development, contract law, environmental law and (European) procurement law. He writes and reviews agreements, including contracts for (large-scale) area and project development.

This includes cooperation agreements, sale and purchase agreements, anterior agreements and other public-private agreements. Furthermore, he is a specialist in the field of (European) procurement law. He has extensive experience in guiding (complex) procurement processes as well as litigating about the outcome of procurement procedures. He acts for government agencies as well as for developers and entrepreneurs.

Simon studied International and European Law with Civil effect at the University of Groningen. In 2009 he started his career in the legal profession at Trip Advocaten & Notarissen in Groningen. Since February 2013 he joined Straatman Koster advocaten, as partner since March 2020.

Simon regularly gives (in-house) courses and speaks at conferences. Simon is a member of the Dutch Association for Procurement Law and co-author of Sdu Commentaar Aanbestedingsrecht. Simon also contributes as a regular lecturer to the Scobe Academy's Course in Planning Economics & Real Estate Law. He also lectures at various courses of (among others) the Institute for Construction Law and Sdu.
