The distribution centre is an addition to the activities of Inditex Central Logistics Platforms in Spain. Straatman Koster is advising OMALA on the land transaction and the negotiations involved for a 35-hectare plot, as well as other contracting activities. Advising and litigating for SADC on required permits re a high way advertising bill board close to Schiphol Airport. SADC is faced with legal proceedings by competitors in the advertising market trying to block the permits granted by the municipality to SADC.

Province of South Holland
Straatman Koster advocaten advises and litigates on nature permits for two coal-fired power plants on Maasvlakte I (Harbour of Rotterdam).
The N211, a Provincial road in Zuid-Holland that connects the motorway A4 to Rotterdam/Hoek van Holland, requires restructuring (due to traffic congestion). Our department advises the Province on the required permits and permissions/decision under public law such as the several zoning plans, nature legislation and the environmental impact assessment.
Straatman Koster advocaten advises Macketeer on reversing the decision of the municipality of Deventer to award (without tender proceedings) two highway bill board locations. Since (European) procurement law is not applicable in this case, the strategy was aimed at blocking the decision of the municipality via environmental law combined with the (developing) concept of exclusive permits. In this case, the two billboard locations were the only two locations where the municipality would allow such billboards limiting other initiatives. After corresponding for a year, the municipality has decided to tender the permits and rights of use for both locations.
Expansion and refurbishment of largest shopping mall of the Netherlands in Utrecht (Hoog Catharijne Mall of the Netherlands). Straatman Koster advocaten advised Klépierre and represented Klépierre in legal proceedings regarding several zoning plans and permits of both Klépierre and adjacent developments. Issues at hand were a.o.: flexibility within regulations of the zoning plans and parking regulations. Important since a.o. the zoning plans/permits determine lettability and therefore value of the property. Besides the zoning plans/permits we also assisted Klépierre regarding the contracts with the municipality of Utrecht and other parties involved.
