Frederik specialises in procurement law and construction law in the broadest sense. He litigates and advises in these fields and acts on behalf of principals as well as contractors.

Frederik graduated from Leiden University in 1998. He then joined De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. Since January 2008, Frederik has been working as a partner at Straatman Koster advocaten.

Frederik publishes regularly on the latest procurement law-related developments and is co-author of ‘Aanbestedingsrecht’, the legal manual in the field. He is also a regular speaker at seminars and courses for the Netherlands Institute for Construction Law (IBR), the VU Law Academy, the Grotius Academy, the Institute for International Research and the Educational Centre for Business and Public Sector (Studiecentrum voor Bedrijf en Overheid) In addition, Frederik is a member of the editorial board of the procurement law journal ‘Tijdschrift voor Aanbestedingsrecht’ and a member of the Construction Law Association (VBR) and the Dutch Procurement Law Association (NVvA).
